Alarming Levels of Drink Driving Persist in the UK, Prompting Concerns for Road Safety

A concerning trend of drink driving casualties and fatalities still grips the UK, with motorists still getting behind the wheel whilst under the influence.

Shocking statistics from the Department of Transport’s (DfT) latest figures from 2021 show that an estimated 6,740 people were killed or injured when at least one driver was over the drink-drive limit.

Sutton exhibition beating the stigma around mental health

Sutton Mental Health Foundation is holding a six month exhibition at Whitehall Historic House which started on Friday 27 January 2023.

The foundation is a community mental health support service for anyone under 18 and living in the London Borough of Sutton.

Virginia Woolf statue unveiled in Richmond

A bronze statue of legendary author Virginia Woolf was unveiled by artist and award winning sculptor Laury Dizengremel on Richmond Riverside on November 16.

Emma Woolf, her son Ludo and Sophie Partridge, all of which are descendants of Woolf, carried out the unveiling.

Figureheads for the campaign were writer and publisher Cheryl Robson, writer Anne Sebba and writer and broadcaster Bamber Gascoigne.

The Real Junk Food Project operates a pay as you feel café in Twickenham as well as other various areas around the country.
